Our Mission Statement: To provide an independent, co-ordinated, and consistent voice to speak to IFS about the products, portfolio, and services that they and their partners provide: to enable access to a broad network of other IFS users; to share knowledge, ideas and experiences of using IFS.
The IFS UK&I User Group is independent of IFS, it is a non-profit making, un-incorporated organisation and the committee members are volunteers from IFS Customers, who give their time for free. This enables us to keep the annual company membership fee for IFS customers to a very reasonable £300 +VAT to cover administrative and event organisation costs.
As an IFS customer, you are already aware of the significant benefits of using IFS Applications to support your business. However, there are challenges associated with any system and some of these can be difficult to resolve without experienced external support. This is one of the key areas where the IFS UK&I User Group can help and I would like to briefly introduce you to the benefits of becoming a Member.
The benefits of becoming a Member of the User Group:
- The User Group promotes and facilitates the exchange of information and opinions about the software. It organises regular meetings, seminars, and workshops on IFS related subjects. In addition, UK and Ireland user issues and enhancement proposals can be coordinated through the User Group to influence future application development.
- To encourage direct user-to-user communication, the User Group hosts a website, where Members can find useful information about forthcoming events and news from the User Group and other Members. Members can also view previous events including agendas, slides, and videos from those events. We facilitate a networking page which enables Members to easily communicate with other Members with similar interests, encouraging networking and assisting Members to discuss systems, processes, and procedures with a view to achieving best practice.
- The User Group runs live (free) events throughout the year, including our extremely popular Annual Conference (chargeable at cost). The Annual Conference is a large event, run over 2 nights and 3 days and including over 50 presentations from our Members, our Partners, IFS Senior Management team and IFS experts. As a result of the pandemic, during 2020 we were forced to cancel all our live events and instead during the past two years we have run over 40 virtual events many of them with our Partners but also with Members and IFS assisting with presentations. These events are now available on video for our Members to view.
- During 2021 we launched our Lunch Clubs which help build on the subject specific networking relationships forged on our website; We ran an IFS feedback forum; And Member and Partner presentations.
I hope you decide to join our ‘User Community’, but should you have any questions or require further information, then please do not hesitate to contact me on [email protected].
